Default xc90 2004 brake failure

driving along in slow traffic brake pedal went to the floor had to pump the pedal to stop, dashboard warning stated anti skid servicing, had car recovered to a garage (volvo main agent) by this time brakes had cooled down couldn't find a problem? after further investigation they informed me nearside front brake calliper partially ceased so recommended new brake calliper new discs brake pads and fluid. This has now been carried out but due to the fact that its brakes i wondered if anyone else has had similar problems with this model?
