Default 2004 swirl flap control

Hi, I'm relatively new to this forum and am slightly confused. I have a 2004 V70 D5 with 167000 miles on the clock. After pushing the old girl a bit harder than normal, I have had this message come up saying engine service required urgent. Having had a diagnostic done, it showed codes that the maf sensor and fuel pressure too high. I've changed the maf sensor but still have the same problem. I notice on the forum that swirl flap rod maybe giving these codes. However, I cannot locate a swirl valve on my engine. Any ideas or advice greatly appreciated.

On a 2004 i would almost certainly say that you have a 163bhp D5 with NO swirl arm. Best D5 out of the bunch.

Before you go any further change the fuel filter as this can cause all sorts of issues including that message.

Easy DIY job and you will find it located on the floorpan just in front of the rear offside wheel.
Do not assume that it has been changed even if you have a bill telling you so.

No wonder I can't find it lol. I'll sort the filter tomorrow and hopefully that will sort it. Many thanks

Did you replace your MAF with another genuine Volvo/Bosch?
