Volvo 850 2.5 B5252S 'P' Reg 1996
Can any one help? My car won't start and only produces one pulse to the injectors (which allows it to run upto 1500rpm then cut straight out)I have changed the camshaft, crankshaft and ambient sensors and it still won't start.
Has any one got any idea's or could you point me in the right direction for a wiring circuit? |

Hi
Will it run on wide open throttle? Try cleaning the throttle body. And Idle valve. Check for any loose broken vacuum hoses. Disconnect the Maf sensor, if the motor runs albeit poorly then this is the fault. Hope this helps Matt |

Is the engine (lambda) warning light on? If so you need to pull the fault codes.
A common fault is the fuel pump relay. Simon |

How on earth can it rev to 1.5K on one injector pulse?

I would suspect the immobilizer.
Try disconnecting the connection to the antenna ring round the ign lock barrel, cleaning the contacts and reconnecting it. A look with a fault code reader would help identify the problem. |

Take of the cap on the fule rail preasure testpoint. Check you have fule preasure.
If not the fule pump relay seems to be a common culprit, bridge the POWER terminals to test. TT |
