VIDA 2014D installation SQL error
Hi all,
I recently realised that, now I have a 2012 XC70, my 2010 version of VIDA isn't much use, so I've had to change my old laptop from XP to Win 7 to install the 2014D VIDA which came with the DICE when I got it from cheshired5. However, I'm struggling to get it to install. The laptop is an old Toughbook with only 1.5Gb RAM - I've changed this in the specs file so it's happy with that, however I get an error when I try to install it. I've done some googling for SQL drivers and installed something from the Microsoft site, but to be honest I have no idea what's up. Any suggestions, based on the attached screenshots? Thank you! Stephen

Remove both Microsoft programs dated 19/2/2018, restart the laptop then run Windows Update and install all important updates, restart and repeat Windows Update process until no more important updates are available.
Then do the same for optional updates. Then follow my Vida Installation Video.

Tried as you suggested Si, but still getting the same error!
My Toughbook is now right up to date... One thing I should mention is how I'm trying to install it. I copied the files off the DVD, onto my PC as the Toughbook can't read the dual layer DVD, and the RAM isn't enough. I lowered the minimum RAM value and changed the date on the licence file, and I'm using the same 'Setup' file from my desktop Hard Drive that you use in the video, but doing it via my wireless network. My currently installed programs attached...

Can you do a screenshot of your Windows Update page please?
Also what version of Internet Explorer are you using? I'll add that the one and only time I tried to be clever with the RAM figure, it didn't work so I've always done it on systems with at least the minimum requirement. I'm also not fully understanding loading it through a WiFi network. I'm not an IT person by a long way and only do bread and butter Vida installations so to speak so whilst my method works 100%, any variation to it may create an issue with which I'm unfamiliar.

Changed laptops to a more recent Toshiba which seems to be better - no SQL issues anyway!
Currently trying to figure out the patch - the new patch from your PM won't open, and your PM inbox is full Si.

Thanks for that link!
Oddly enough (after trying and failing on multiple computers) I managed to download the patch from the link Si had sent me. Now (other than it claiming that IE has stopped working when VIDA opens) it seems to be working. Now just to connect up my DICE and see what the new car wants to tell me...
