Potential Sale: 2003 S40 2.0

Test driving a potential company car on Tuesday and if I like it, I will be selling my 2003 2.0 S40 SE automatic in silver, with just over 70,000 miles currently.

The car has 1 previous owner, a full service history (last serviced by Volvo in 2015 and then by independents since then), in my ownership the car has had an oil change every 6 months/4,000 miles and has been impeccably maintained. I have a large amount of receipts for the various parts that have been purchased for it. The tyres all have good tread levels on them, all of them are Yokohama BluEarth with the exception of an Avon. The timing belt and water pump have been replaced during my ownership (I think during 2016)

The car was given an almost full body respray (with the exception of bonnet and roof) in 2016 along with the alloy wheels being refurbished and painted in anthracite. The windscreen has also been replaced recently as the original one had become scratched over time. The car is cleaned regularly, including the underside.

The car comes with winter and family pack and factory fitted parking sensors.

I’d like to get £1,800 for the car as I think that’s reasonable, considering the condition of the car and (for the age) low mileage.

The car is based in Lincoln.

Maintenance while in my ownership:
Ignition coils replaced with brand new NGK coils in May 2017, along with the replacement of ignition leads with brand new genuine Volvo leads at the same time
4 wheel tracking checked/adjusted in June 2017 along with two brand new Yokohama BluEarth tyres at the front
Brand new genuine Volvo side marker replaced in front passenger side bumper in July 2017
Both front wiper arms replaced with brand new genuine Volvo parts in August 2017
New suspension coil spring replaced in December 2017 on rear driver side
Air conditioning re-charge and cleanse in July 2015 and again in May 2017
Brake fluid and transmission fluid changed in March 2017
New genuine Volvo centre caps fitted in May 2016 when wheels were reconditioned
Timing belt kit, water pump and auxiliary belt replaced with Volvo genuine parts in October 2016 along with coolant change
Bosch rear brake disc and pads fitted July 2016
Leather seats treated with Gliptone dye and Liquid Leather sealant to repair patch of lacquer wear to leather on driver's seat bolster (remaining kit will be given away with car for future repairs if needed)
Thermostat replaced in March 2016
Boot lock sealing ring replaced with genuine Volvo part in February 2016
Brake light switch replaced with genuine Volvo part in October 2015
Receipts/invoices included to back up all of the above work. This is in addition to all regular maintenance, for which I also have the receipts.

Radio code included, along with a number of original documents from when the car was originally sold, including S40 brochure, Volvo windscreen chip sticker (to prevent chip from cracking and spreading), locking nut serial number if a new locking nut is needed (locking nut is included with the car), accessories user guide, original tax disc holder with all tax discs from 2003 until tax discs were discontinued, business card from the dealer who originally sold the car.
