Very common for the crappy Ford-sourced washer pumps to fail, they just stop working without warning.

The pump it fitted to the outside of the washer bottle, access is through the bottom of the passenger side wheel arch although could be possible to reach by removing the engine undertray and a small section of trim under the bumper.

The pump simply pulls free (rubber bung type fitting) and unplug the electrical connector...then use the part number stamped on it to source a replacement, it's a Ford part and is available from loads of online places, I paid about £11.00 for mine about 3 years ago.

Same problem on my Saab and fixed with a new washer pump, lots of messing around checking fuses, piping, valves and jets, turned out it was the washer pump.
