  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Has this key been programmed or not - if it hasn't it will not disarm the immobiliser - the only way to bypass it is as pff says is to apply +12V to the solenoid 4mm spade terminal, which then gets you into other troublesome areas - don't do it - you will have to wait for the key to be programmed to the car.

Have you asked the RAC if there is a competent car locksmith in the Bath area?

No, the key hasn't been programmed... I didn't know that was possible. I will ring RAC shortly although they don't seem very knowledgeable about anything. So I think I should speak with locksmith first.
When I lost my keys, it took them 14 hours and £275 to get to me, while I was up a mountain (Hay Bluff) on a rainy night on my own, no shelter or extra clothing and they couldn't find the mountain that has one road to it !
