What colour was the original relay and have you still got it? If so, have you tried the original relay again?

A green relay won't repalace a white relay. If you've still got it, put it back!

Then see if you can get a refund on the green one.

Yes, it won't work!

It would be ok if you had electronic injection but you haven't, you have mechanical injection.

Kay has already told you this in this thread.

Just because it says it's for a 740 doesn't mean it's right, that's why we have been asking for engine codes, model year etc.

I just hope you haven't damaged the new green one by fitting it into a socket made for a white one.

A green one is the right one for a B230E!
I'm overtired totally and need to sleep. More later

For today: Remove the fuel support line from the k-jet inside the engine bay, put the fuel line into a sparent canister and get power to the fuel pump by the fuse or directly. Get out the old fuel. Don't buy E-related fuel.

Tacho-jump, better tacho-flickering?
The needle won't stay

Don't try to adjust anything till we find the problem. Seriously don't touch any adjustable part at the k-jet.

Good "night", Kay

Assuming it is a B230E. It had been running fine on a white one apparently until the fault occured. I think we need photos of the engine bay.

I have to confess i've got confused with this thread, don't know if i'm on foot or horseback with it!
