XC60 keyless start
Hello, I have a 2019 xc60 with keyless start but not keyless entry (i.e. you have to press the button on the fob to unlock).
I know keyless entry fobs are at risk of the scanning hack but is that the case for keyless start? I'm trying to work out if I need to use a faraday bag for my keys... Thanks! |

I'm contemplating this, no need for the bag, when the fob is stationary the battery is disabled so it cant broadcast. I think the price is too high though.

I'd guess that the main time your car is at "risk" is when its on your drive overnight, so is it not easier to have a box (along the lines of the below) to have as a "safe place" for your keys? https://www.amazon.co.uk/OCOOPA-Fara...%2C220&sr=8-10 or if you want something for when you're out and about, maybe something like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Scorpeon-RF...s%2C220&sr=8-4 Only a few ideas |

Thanks for all the replies - I guess it's better to be safe rather than sorry...
Thank again! |
