"Average MPG"... Or is it? - Page 3

97 fiesta? I thought those 1.3 Kent Duratechs were rubbish for economy. I know my mum's 01 Ka which has the 60bhp 1.3 engine barely manages 40mpg...

My computer was showing 22.9 mpg and after filling up it worked out at 21.9 mpg. Not too bad but it's been down to 16mpg over a tank too. Most was 270 miles to the tank with 56l to fill it up.

Oh God no, not a Dura-sh*te, it had the 1.25 Zetec-SE. Great engine. The benefits of having the Ghia!

P3 S80. What hacks me off is the digital fuel guage. Fueled it in Scotland, drove to York and it said used 1/8th. Drove back from York to home, car said used half a tank for it leaving just under 1/2 full from a 480mi trip.

Guage doesn't even move evenly.

I have a VW Golf 2.0 TDI..... trip computer averages 68.9mpg... impressive!
