I hate buses, like trams. Been to Munich many times and they have a strong tram system in the centre. You get out of the way, the tram is king. Who is going to win a fight between a car and a tram? (I'll give you a clue, it is not the car). Any car that gets in the way of a tram has an idiot driving it. You know the tram can't swerve so don't get in its way.

haha thats brilliant, just bad drivers .... Tram always has right of way unless there is a light to tell it to stop it.

We need to bring back trolley buses as well there used to be lots in manchester in the fifties and sixties however when we joined the eu and places like trafford park shut down there was no need for them which was a real shame

I just remembered a chuckle I had once.

I was up in Sheffield and driving around in an area where the trams trundle around and I saw one at a stop, in a a tram lane, picking up passengers.

Then...

It's right indicator came on (to let people know it was actually pulling away) and I had to smile at the thought of the tram pulling out into the traffic!

Nottingham trams regularly use indicators, presumably to let people know they are stopping or starting off, saves people getting caught out when overtaking them at a tram stop.

The way some of these were being driven junctions didnot seem to apply to them.

Rather academic for me as Edinburgh is the only place I visit that has them and I use the park and ride.

Paul.
Here in Switzerland, we have a lot of trams in the big cities. And here, they have right of way, king of the road!!!
