Default Reluctor rings

Hi,
Does anyone know if there are any differences (in material/number of teeth etc) to various outlets selling new reluctor rings?
Trying do get a decent balance between the £1.99 and the £45 options that seem to be out there for my 2005 xc70 d5
Anyone had good experiences with anything other than the main dealer option?

I also notice some come with new ABS speed sensors. Is this necessary, or a sales gimmick?

Thanks

I've only ever needed to fit the rings and I get them from J+R on eBay for £1.75 each.
No problems at all.

£45 sounds high, I hope it has silver alloys at such cost

Don't forget to clean well the CV joint where the ring seats and some paint won't hurt to chase the rust from bubbling and cracking the new ring.

The ABS sensor is fine most of the times, doesn't need replaced. The matter would rather be the cracked ring.

I got my rings off of eBay; I used the same method as buying wine. Avoid the absolute cheapest, but never pay £45.
Some come with sensors too because when the ring splits it increases effective diameter and will abrade the sensor. Leave it long enough and it too will need changing.

I bought the cheap ebay ones , think it was 6 quid for both delivered .
Been on a few years and I've had no issues .
It was an instant fix to my troubles .

I got the £1.99 eBay ones and they are fine, heated it up on the hob before fitting, clean all the corrosion off the shaft and tapped it on with no issues.

Thanks to everyone for their experiences
I have had a look on ebay and there are one or two that say they will not fit a 2005 xc70, but are ok for the 2004 v70xc. Similar application confusion for a phase 2 2007 xc70 vs my car. I had guess they are the same, no?
Is there a definitive number of teeth I should be referencing to ensure what I order fits?
