A friend has one. A bit low for me but its quick and quiet and very economical.
Its the 2.0 diesel.

Had a brand new 2litre diesel as a hire car last year when my car was being repaired , Very dissapointed tbh .

Build quality was light years away from both my v70 and my OH bmw , The gearbox was awful , Lots of toys but had i paid 35k for it i would have been gutted, Best described as a ford in a posh frock

However you may think otherwise all you can do is have good long test drive and decide

Granted he displayed extreme bad taste but still.....

Jaguar XEs have a very poor reputation (reliability issues).

I got rid of my Volvo nearly 2 years ago, the Audi that replaced it is better in almost every respect aside from size and the amazing Volvo seats. I don't have the same man love for the Audi though, perhaps it's because I don't have to take it apart every other weekend.

A near neighbour of mine changed his Audi for one.He was terribly disappointed in the build quality. Jaguar wouldn't believe him when he phoned his named customer care lady. Kept it three months, traded it in at 3,000 miles for another Audi. He lost a few thousand on it too but thought it was worth it. I drove the Jag. I thought it was lovely and silky smooth but he had time to study it.
