the people however drive at:

50/50/50/40/40/40/40/40/40/40/40/30!

(yes I was sad enough to sit here and think about my route to work to make sure I got it right!)
But if you overtake them when there doing 40 in a 60 do you become the moron for driving faster than them?

well in this case they'd have be going slower than 40 for me to overtake them as it's a windy road (you can still safely do 60 on your side of the road though). Maybe even faster but I couldn't comment on that.

its similar to the comment " bloomin learners why dont the practice off the road" (or suitably similarly phrased).
all fine and we all have thought it at A point in time and im sure some of us have voiced it while driving.
I know i did, whilst on my driving test all those years ago, much to the amusement of the examiner.

i suspect the G.Carlin quote highlights the differances in perception people have and how they change and illustrates another phrase "one mans rubbish is anothers gold". it may also highlight the split second judgemental nature of the human race.

that or just a grumpy driver who really wishes they had a volvo to drive,,,,

I tend to say "f**king instructors, taking learners on roads they're not ready for".thats what it is really. my instructor took me on little quiet roads in housing areas until i could easlily cope with 30, then moved on to 40, then moved on to 50 etc.

I think you've got some of your numbers the wrong way round. Shouldn't the first 60 go in the third position, the third one in the fourth from last and the fourth from last one should come first?

On my second lesson I was driving on a dual carriageway doing 70! My steering wasn't perfect to say the least. Somehow, that made the third lesson seem like a piece of cake.

There is only one kind of driver on the road that annoys me- other drivers.

soon to be a newbie here.

For me it`s seems to be mostly on the motorway i tend to get annoyed middle lane huggers, people who just pull in front of you who seem to not been able to calculate that the car is going much faster than they are when you`re cruising in the fast lane and they do 70 i know it`s the legal speed but, ooh yeah reps in audi`s and bmw`s who get close really close to you.

But on another note I`m a biker too with a loud exhaust and i`ll be honest I tend to try and get revenge and people might say the same sbout me has I scream up the motorway flashing at reps and lane huggers to get out of the way

sorry my 2 cents has they say in the usa
