To all,

My thanks to everyone for the warm welcome on my first Crooked Billet meet today.

Special thanks to Ian and Simon for the oppotunity to ride 'co-pilot' - EXCELLENT!!

The only problem is now finding the money for the shopping list I have for my car.

cheers

Dave

Nice to see you all again, and thanks to Don for the little jaunt from his place to the CB,

Thanks for today guys, nice to see the old and new faces !

I've wrapped up my turbo to intercooler pipe with aluminium foil tape (cheap option), as per Simon's (?) car and have been suprised with the results !

Chris

I must have missed this conversation Chris. This must be to keep the pipe cooler internally. Is this right? And going by your post it must work.

that sounds interesting, would that still help the s60r intercooler pipe?, the s60r comes with a silver aluminium pipe thing, which might help reflect more heat?

any ideas anyone?

Hi

Yes, the idea is to keep the internal of the pipe cool and reflect the heat from the top of the engine ?! The pipe is made of ally, but sprayed black ?

After a run now, the top pipe is very hot to the touch whereas the top of the intercooler pipe is much much cooler.

Every little helps and it's probably the placebo effect lol

Chris

Hi

I wouldn't worry about wrapping yours Dave, looks good - and yes, it is probably cast ally.

I just had some ally tape about and thought I might give it ago !

Sorry I missed you guys but been real busy living in the real world lately lol.

Chris, F1 dry ice works much better when stuffed in the intercooler, 1/4 mile only though, as it melts lol.
