V50 EGR location

Hi all, I have a 2012 V50 1.6 drivE diesel with 76k on, I'm getting a diesel fumes type smell inside the car when going along in traffic and the EGR valve has been punted as the culprit.

Trouble is I can't find it, I see one on evilbay for this model but I cannot see anything like it on my car.

Can anyone help please?

I have pics of my engine bay but they are on my pc (mac) and don't see a way of uploading them?

Does your engine bay look like the one on the left or the right?

If it is like the one on the right, the EGR is located underneath where it says "6 gears - non"

If it is like the one on the left, it could be in the same place, I'm not sure.

Hi Petey, we had a conversation before about the DPF I think? Mine is the non serviceable one.
Don't suppose you can be more specific? I've looked down the back and haven't a clue what it looks like.

That rings a bell.

It is for the other 1.6 engine, but it's in the same place.

Yup seen that video and it's not at all like mine in that I think it's lower down. I've just seen a pic of mine on google/ebay and I have what looks like it on my car. I can't find a how to anywhere though.

The only pic I can find of it doesn't really show anything useful regarding removal so I'm a bit stuck.

Yes, the video shows the older 1.6 and the EGR is different, but in the same place.

I couldn't find anything for removal either as I was thinking about cleaning it too.

Trusty old Haynes Manual will be needed I think.
