Default Wonky after standby - XC90 T8

I've been away a couple of times for 5-8 days and the car's gone into standby (whilst plugged in) - which is fine as I guess that's what it's supposed to do. But the app says " send a command to wake it up" which doesn't appear to work - have tried light flashing, remote start, preconditioning etc - but none of 'em work - so it says I have to start the car to wake the app up.

Ok, I guess I can live with that - but then once I have started it, it gets a bit temperamental and says the car's in use when it's not, then preconditioning command doesn't work until I've been out for a "proper" drive.

No biggie, but just a bit clunky.

Is there a command that will wake it up from standby?

The car goes into standby after 4 days. Between days 5 and 28 it wakes up once an hour to check for commands. After day 28 the remote comms system is completely switched off.

So, with the car on standby you could in theory be lucky and the car will grab a queued command soon after you've sent it. Worst case is it won't pick it up for an hour. Average waiting time would be 30 mins obviously.

Arriving back at a UK airport, and as soon as the wheels touch the runway, I've tried a few times to send a precon command. However, precon has never started by the time I've reached the car, even though it takes at least 30 mins to get from the plane to the car park. Either I've been unlucky or it just doesn't work as expected.

I'm off skiing next weekend so, as an experiment, when I fly back from Geneva after 5 days I intend sending a precon command just before leaving GVA. That'll give it 2+ hours to be actioned. Obviously, and assuming it works, precon will switch off before I get back to the car but I might be able to tell if it has worked.

Also, I've previously tried to keep the car awake by accessing it via the app within the 4 days but that doesn't seem to reset the counter.
