Recommended is 36 all round for all tyres except the 45 low profiles which are 39. Your recommended pressures will be on the tyre spec label on the drivers door frame. Over inflated tyres can produce poor handling.

ABSOLUTELY DO THIS IF YOU CAN.

Make sure to inspect/service the coolant. Volvo coolant is quality stuff and lasts a long time. However, people can dilute it using cheaper stuff as replacement.

Also, old, bad coolant will protect from freezing but won't inhibit corrosion as fresh coolant does.

See if the cabin air filter has been changed.

Best of luck with your new vehicle.
That eara cars are known for iffy coolant from the factory. If it has any tinge of brown change it quick as the corrosion inhibitors have died.

Mine was brown, passed all the antifreeze tests but the inhibitors were dead at 4 years old. Changed the coolant for current volvo stuff and 6 years on its still healthy green and passing the antifreeze test..

I also change my power steering fluid every 2 years as the corrosion inhibitors die in that. Along with the brake fluid every 2 years and gearbox oil every 2 years ( manual gearbox).

Biggest part of preventative maintenance is clean fluids.

Paul.

Just a small point, but there was no need for the previous owner to change the water pump with the belts.

Do check that what you now have fitted is a genuine Volvo water pump as the non-OE replacements have a reputation for not lasting like the Volvo items, which basically last the life of the car. If it's not, you might want to change it at some point in the future.

PSI on the side wall points to 50 PSI for me. Which is the pressure I blow them up to. I'd thought a less pressure tyre eats at the fuel economy slightly?

There's no doubt that underinflation costs fuel, but the converse doesn't mean gains, iyswim.

Compliancy helps with reducing rolling resistance, and pumping up like that reduces compliancy, decreases comfort, and as stated, may negatively affect handling & grip.

Lots of internet info on this.

Parking sensors depend on the version of the car. At least here in Sweden, different packages included either rear sensors only, both rear and front sensors or no sensors ar all. My car, XC70 D5 Summum 2012, has front and rear. The rear ones also integrate with the rear parking camera.
The other one we have, a XC70 D4 Classic Summum 2016, has only the rear sensors.
