09 V50 Diesel Loom melted ...

Been havin problems with the car for a while had a new DPF fitted by Volvo then it went down on power with squealing and a lot of waist gate clatter then the other night just rounded a corner and there was a bang and it coasted to a halt in a cloud of white smoke !

It turns over but wont fire but it will run if u spray brake cleaner into the turbo. Must admit there was a funny smell with it so last night I jacked it up and removed the under tray.

Looked up at the loom and it was melted were it turns around the bell housing it looks like its been rubbing. This would account for various fault codes IE crank sensor / DPF / Manufacture control / sensor reading low ect ect ....

Has anyone ever seen or heard of the loom doing this ???
