It is now third OFF, not quite as goods as last deal but still helps if you want to buy 'good' oil!!

I recently took my old (51 plate) C70 in for a service - quoted £210 including Volvo "loyalty" discount. Actual cost - £800 with replacement rears pads, new suspension spring and new wheel bearing!!

A friend of mine in the motor trade told me that Volvo dealerships have to kit out their showrooms directly from Volvo right down to the smallest details - including Swedish maple, etc. Believe it or not, Volvo also have a "vase of the month" which all dealers have to buy each month at £150 a time. Apparently this is one of the reasons why Volvo dealers charge £80 an hour for workshop time whereas your local garage will be much cheaper

with a trolley jack, axle stands, a handful of basic tools, and a service check sheet, 2hrs and £60 will do oil, filters, plugs and a good check, and probably a pint or 2 down the pub afterwards to congratulate yourself on a job well done
