Default Renewing rear drop glass Ph 2 V40

Hi all

The rear passenger door, drivers side, drop glass broke on my Phase 2 V40. I have got both white square clips OK with their associated screws.

Question is: Do I fit the clips into the square holes in the new glass before I slide it into the door or do I loosen off the screws and push the clips into the holes after I slide in the glass?

Anybody done this job?

Thanks

Tim

OK. Job complete. Bought the genuine drop glass from Volvo. Had to be ordered from Sweden apparently and took five days to come but cost, I thought, a reasonable £80 all inclusive. Less than claiming on the insurance. Wasn't as easy to fit as the Mercedes 190E but much, much easier than a Mazda Mx5 which is a total nightmare.

As usual when fitting drop glasses it will take about a week for my arms to fully heal. My wrists look like a failed suicide attempt!!

Thanks for the input
