Renewing rear drop glass Ph 2 V40
Hi all
The rear passenger door, drivers side, drop glass broke on my Phase 2 V40. I have got both white square clips OK with their associated screws. Question is: Do I fit the clips into the square holes in the new glass before I slide it into the door or do I loosen off the screws and push the clips into the holes after I slide in the glass? Anybody done this job? Thanks Tim |

OK. Job complete. Bought the genuine drop glass from Volvo. Had to be ordered from Sweden apparently and took five days to come but cost, I thought, a reasonable £80 all inclusive. Less than claiming on the insurance. Wasn't as easy to fit as the Mercedes 190E but much, much easier than a Mazda Mx5 which is a total nightmare.
As usual when fitting drop glasses it will take about a week for my arms to fully heal. My wrists look like a failed suicide attempt!! Thanks for the input Tim |
