Default Battery Replacement - 2008 V70 2.5T

I need to replace the battery on my 2008 V70 2.5T and am wondering if disconnecting the battery will mess up the radio, electronic key start, instrumentation etc?
I'm tempted to maintain 12v to the car by jump leading a separate battery to the connection terminals whilst swapping the car battery, suitably insulated of course!
Also are Halford batteries any good? Any recommendations?
Cheers and thanks

if you read the handbook it will guide you on what to do when disconnecting the main battery ?? your radio/tape/cd player will have a code that you input when you reconnect the battery on my v 70 TDI 1997 that is all i have to do ! Now check your H/Book,

Thanks Jewells
I've read the handbook but I was just a bit wary of having to reset other electrical stuff. Being a 2008, it's got eg no conventional key - just a post-in keyfob; electronic fuel gauge and messaging...
