Spark Plug Gaps
Does anyone know what the corect spark plug gap should be for a C70 T5. The plugs are Champion EON II.
The Haynes manual says 0.7mm, haowever i had seen other sources recommend 0.32mm Help Please |

RE: Spark Plug Gaps
Sounds more like a confusion beween metric and imperial to me,
0.7mm is 0.028inches 0.8mm is 0.032inches I've never seen a gap as low as 0.32mm that would be 0.013 inches or there abouts and thats much too small. Anyway, 0.7 or 0.8mm, follow the book or recommendation from plug manufacturer, in car shop they have a list of gaps for specific plugs Keith |

RE: Spark Plug Gaps
Hi.
The plugs you buy will invariably be OK at the preset gap, however, the size of the plug gap in a turbo car is far more crucial (to prevent misfires and pinking etc) than in a N/A model. Therefore anyone with a turbo model would be best advised to make sure all plugs have the same (and the correct) gap. I wonder if they check the gaps at the dealers when they put the plugs in? Or are they preset to the correct gap for the particular model of car if you use Volvo plugs? Cheers, Dan. |

And if so, aren't these already set correctly and don't need adjusting? Lei Chan |

RE: Spark Plug Gaps
Multi electrode plugs are not recommended in turbocharged cars.
Mind you I would always check the gaps of plugs out of the packet becuase they are never all the same/correct. Dan. |
