Default steering angle sensor

hi just a follow uo regarding my last enquiry about my dstc light staying on i went to the volvo specialists to cure the fault they replaced the steering angle sensor with a new one off a car they work breaking .but the light stays on they had the car for a week was they doing with my car and they said the light was staying on so they said it could be the yaw sensor under the seat i will try and have alook he said 4 hours later i rang him back up he said he could not find the sensor and i thought they are taking the '**** out of me here i asked him did you calibrate the sensor when you replaced it his anwser was i checked that and it did not need doing is he right or am i been takinbg for a ride hear he said if you want to take it to volvo let us do as we are trade and we get it cheaper im trade so i will get trade aswell fool.what do i do does it need calibrating by volvo and how much will it cost how long what else can i do by the way the garage i bought the car will be standing the bill he does not know that yet though...helppppppppppp

You really need a main dealers experience here , they seem to be floundering with lack of knowledge .
Firstly you must never use modules from other cars ! thier software is specific to the car they came from .
Secondly : If they read the fault codes and interpreted them ,they should know whether they related to the Steering angle sensor or the yaw sensor
Thirdly: , Yes the system needs calibrating firstly on the workshop computer then a short test drive afterwards .

thankyou im going to get it booked in at the main dealer theres no point having all that power on wet roads with no traction in my eyes....
