Quote:
The T4 is 200 bhp ( high pressure turbo ) and the 2.0T ( low pressure turbo) is around 160 bhp .

Can the pressure be boosted or can you put the turbo from a t4 on there?

I believe a 14t turbo from a T4 will go on a 2.0t, but I'm not sure how wise running the full 14psi of boost would be on that engine, as the compression ratio on a T4 is lower to allow for the higher boost levels.

also if the actual boost does not follow the programmed boost pressure in the ECU it will go into limp home mode and post a fault code .

Also, engine internals might be stronger on the T4 to cope with higher boost and horsepower.

You can push it a bit over standard without throwing codes, well you can on the T4 anyway, as mine was peaking at at just under 19psi until I turned it down (previous owner had messed with the actuator but hadn't fitted a boost gauge) but even if you could only get say 10psi out of it, coupled with the larger CFM of the 14t over the 2.0t standard 12t you'd still see a modest power increase, but as I say, reliability and things like that may be a worry.
