Hi
My trailer module, non volvo, but still a canbus one played up a while ago.
I did start stripping out the module to check the connections, all were OK.
There had previously been a couple of low battery warnings.
I disconnected my battery, left for a while and then reconnected and all was fine.
With hindsight I could have just pulled the fuse for a while to allow the module to reset.
The V50 is very critical to low battery warnings. In the past, with an old battery my windows often stopped working and also the radio used to disappear from the display.
I think on low battery some modules shut down to preserve the battery and I think can also get confused.
A battery disconnect or fuse pull often can reset a confused module.
Worth a try

Hi guys got it sorted. I unplugged the original Volvo trailer control unit, left for a few seconds and re-connected it and it all now works. Obviously when i had changed the battery a few weeks back it must of spiked the unit.
