RTI sat.navigation expert advice
Hello
I have found a RTI sat.navigation from an 2003 S80 on Breakeryard (in Germany). There are 2 Cdchanger boxes, one for 10CD and one for 6CD. Why ? According to the seller all wirings should be present (but how to check)? Is it possible to fit this system to a 2001 V70-2. I have the HU-803 radio. Is it possible to fit the later larger screen to the older system. It it possible to change the language. ("it`s German" ) I will appreciate any reply regarding this matter. Thank you for reading so far. Kind Regards Michael Jensen |

I was always told that you could not swap items (RTI/phone etc) but the tech guys at Volvo Tech near Rotterdam suggested otherwise.
The language should not be a problem as they can be set for most European languages. Wiring (all RTI systems Ive seen have RTI DVD in the boot) is a bit of a long job, and might also need a few extra power supplies. If I was doing the job, Id want both cars together so see what else I needed.. but thats not possible if your in Denmark (assuming you are) |

Its most unlikely the whole system would work as it is from another coded car BUT if it did then there could be a serious software mismatch next time you had software downloaded for a new module , upgrade etc ..
The 10 cd changer is for the AUDIO CD player .
