Default Glow Plugs Testing

Hi, Has anyone changed there Glow plugs on a 2.4 D5 2013 on engine, are they under the cam cover? My engine seems a little slower to start just now, could be the cold weather perhaps. Thought that if the glow plugs are easy to get at I might remove one by one and test them...any thoughts?
Wish there was a descent workshop manual !
Best Wishes,

check the battery it might be struggling to fire glow plugs and turn the engine . if its the original battery is almost likely to be ready for a change.

Hi, Thank you. The battery is only 6 months old.....but perhaps due to not using the car at the moment I will give the battery a wee charge and see if it makes any difference. Are the Glow plugs under the Cam Cover ?

mine (& it's predecessor) have a noticible delay in starting when it is colder. the colder it is the longer the wait before starting - at -16 in the alps last month this was probably several seconds & seemed like an age.
I put this down to a need to preheat the cylinder space, which takes longer if it's chilled, and not just heating up the plugs.
