Don't really see the appeal but there are some campers on the facebook groups. If you don't want to hack the interior up then you're probably just going to throw a mattress or airbed in the back. Curtains are easy to make or some vinyl tint.

Never seen anyone who lives in their Volvo vanlife style.

If you've got the roof rails then there is no reason why you can't have a roof tent or a roll-out awning for daytime use ( cooking and chilling ) and then just sleep in the car at night if the weather goes a bit crap..

I've kipped in my car many times after a night on the town, it's surprisingly comfy

Like you say it's not going to be a full time camper, just an escape pod

Cat litter in a sock works & reusable if dried out.
No cats are harmed in this process!

Think I'll just stick with living in a house and booking into a nice hotel when I decide to go away somewhere !!

Sleeping cramped up in a car along with socks filled with cat litter isn't really rocking it for me

This might be the perfect solution. Curtains included. Not sure if it can accomodate two persons though...

This thought came to my head. When I bought mine there was a hearse for sale in Spain. The thing had close to 1M km on the clock. I think it was 870k. Blue, not black, which was odd.
