could be interested in your amazon.. just after a few details regarding the bodywork. Is there any rust problems at all except for the obvious surface rust seen in the photos?
I'm talking about the underside, chassis, sills, and also the inner wings and engine bay? How does it run? any smoke, odd noises? Would it be able to be driven a long way without any problems you know of? cheers Steve

Volvo 122S B16 for sale.
Sorry I have not posted for a while. The 122S is going up for sale on car and classics website over the next couple of days for £2495 but thought I would give the forum members a bit of a head start and a reduced price of £2295. I have been through all the old paperwork with the car to get the history right and found the following. Car built August 1962 and exported to Hong Kong. Fitted with front bench seat, opening rear quarter lights and the B16 122S engine. Came back late 60's and then sold in 1970 to a Mr. Coppen in Reading. He kept the car for the next 37 years and approx. 70 of its 82k miles. He sold it to a chap in Brighton who had it for a yea and spent a couple of thousand on it including unleaded head and halogen headlights. He sold it to present owner in 2008. Originally registered as 16 EXB it lost its plate whilst off the road for a few years from 76 till 85. When back on the road it was issued with VSV 559. The old number may be retreivable from DVLA? Chassis number 71913. Manual gearbox. 4 door. Green colour. Mot may 9th. Taxed. (exempt anyway). Huge history file with loads of old mots to prove mileage and original Volvo workshop service and parts manuals. New exhaust. Featured in Sept 2010 Classic and Sportscar magazine (copy comes with car along with personal written comments from the journalist stating what a good car it is). Car went through last mot with no advisorys. The car has light surface corrosion but not rusty. The magazine described it as sunworn. Solid old reliable car that could form the basis of a rare B16 restoration or use and enjoy it as it is. Apologies for not replying to the people that sent me private emails offering to buy it last month. I did try to reply to you all but the site will not allow it untill you have 30 posts under your belt. If interested call Martin on 07711 123800
