1961 122S B16 for sale
Hi guys. I am looking for advise on the value of a Amazon 122s with b16 engine. Was originally an export to Hong Kong so is RHD manual with front bench seat. Car is solid and has an mot but paintwork is very dull with some surface rust on top but not eating into the metal. Any ideas on value.
Thanks in advance. |

Sorry I should have made it clear that although the car was in hong kong for 20 years it has been in the UK for the last 30 years.

122s pictures
As I said it is like a surface browning. Most of it will come off with a good clean.

Thanks to all that have helped by messaging me with their thoughts on value. It seems that £2000 to £3000 would be a fair price due to its rare spec and original condition. There also seems to be a few who would like to make an offer. So I have decided to be fair and offer the car for £2350. The car can be viewded in West Sussex. Sorry I can,t respond to the private e-mails direct but apparently you have to have 30 posts before I can do so. I can be contacted on 07711 123800.

I forgot to mention that the car was featured in September 2010 issue of classic and sportscar.

That looks VERY nice!
Could you post some side-on photos of all 4 wheelarches? From what I can see there so far, it looks very solid and original. Needs a decent respray obviously, but if there is little welding to do, that's a massive bonus. You can ask the nice moderators to unlock PMs here: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...139#post812139 Cheers John |

I saw that article in Classic and Sports Cars and did a double take, the cars were parked at the well in East Marden only a stones throw from my parents house! Very nice looking machine.

What is the roadworthy status of the car, M.o.T. Tax?
Any pics of engine bay, boot interior and more? I`m not so far away but very time constrained, however, I am interested. |
