Thats a good point actually, might look at doing that, a jetex isn't cheap

Its a corner on the joint flange back box side that has rotten/broken off so nothing to to bolt against, access is a pain since it is right above the suspension, so looks like would need to drop the exhaust off the car and attack it that way around unless the dremel fits in there, all the bolts look very crusty so and stuck so lots off faffing around

Awesome thank you very much looks an easier plan , not seen those little things before gives me another optional plan of attack will have to grab a dremel and get the montage music playing, got a some extra time off at new year so make the Volvo stealth mode again

That is truly awesome.

My flange is beginning to resemble a Cadbury's Flake.
There was me thinking, need to get exhaust off next summer and have new flanges fabricated and welded on. Strange how those flanges always crumble to dust, when the rest of the system is sound.

It is strange isn't it? Mine is same deal - everything else looks great but flange was toast.

Note that that eby listing has a quantity of "0" remaining - may have to reach out to them to see if they can make some more...

Changed rear discs and pads yesterday (bit overdue) and then through another MOT with one advisory of slightly corroded brake pipes.

Onto next thing which is a rattlling tapping sound coming from the top of nearside front strut over bumps. Noise goes away when you come off the power.

Will give them a message once had it off to see bad it is, and have found some similar ones that don't have the flex section.

Have had an idea that depending on how bad the rot is that will repair the flange with chemical metal cut off the built in nuts, since they will be usless now and get some washers, fresh nuts and bolts and bolt it back up and give its a light coat of paint to keep the rust at bay.

Plenty ideas for repair, and will keep me from spending loads on a shiny stainless system and make me spend it on more usefull stuff haha

changed my headlights to LED's. Looks very sharp. Didn't need any extra resistors...just plug and play. Did need to cut a notch in the rubber cover though to route the wiring through. I installed these:

Not sure if they are any brighter but they definitely look better and provide a nice pure white light.

Ooooooo, provided these can be used in non HID applications I need a couple of pairs of these.
