Today's little job was to investigate the boost or lack thereof, as was only hitting just under 11psi, so I revisited the actuator rod, and despite having looked at it before and swearing there was very little adjustment left, I saw that in fact there was about 4 full threads between the bottom of the lock nut and the end of the threads, so using a rule of thumb method I read to set it correctly, I wound it all the way in until it stopped then back out one full turn, now hitting 16psi at peak, tailing off slowly to somewhere between 11 and 12 once you pass about 4000 rpm to about 5500, it was fast before, but it's a bloody missile now

I was wrong, it actually peaks at 18, I'm scared of detonation and death so I'll wind out a turn tomorrow, also fitted the towbar today, rusty holes require the kind of crap you see here, the necessity to cut the bumper is also lies, it just clears.

Electrics are a job for another day, probably Monday, as I need to find clarification as to whether the extra plug I have in my boot is for a towing connection or not.

My old turbo s40 landed back on my drive over the weekend, nice to see its still in good shape and serving my uncle well. He's only put 9000 miles on it in 3 years. Still goes like the clappers though

Had a good play about trying to remove my egr valve, after many swear words and half a can of carb cleaner I managed to remove the EGR solenoid before running out of light. Also found a lovely puddle of oil around one of injectors

Managed to get my arches rolled yesterday, well I say rolled, precision tapping with a hammer after warming the paint with a hairdryer, folded the entire lip back on itself, perfect, then I got the towing electrics done, then remembered I'd left the beeper thing at home and I was at my parents, so I'll have to unmake and remake a few connections with that in situ, I also managed to lose the backplate that holds the socket to the car, so ordered one off eBay, also ordered front and rear drop links in preparation for when I get the suspension from Antz.

'Kin drivers exterior handle broke! The back link that opens the door. Drilled the exterior and put a long wood screw in it. That'll do for now!

Walked past it again 'cos the nearside wheelbearing is gone and unlikely to be done before the weekend.
