I did 101,000 miles in it, in three years, most of it at 70+ mph and only replaced tyres and exhaust, plus service materials.

Traded it in for an MG Maestro - what a change in reliability!

Yes Kieran, it was an E plate mk1, with the slight facelift.

The sidelight/indicator in the bumper was replaced with a single indicator and the sidelight was moved up to the headlight area.

Also got the sports seats, with integral headrests too.

Bloody good cars they were and the noddy one that came after it,considering the mk1 was only built to last a few years shame the modern Micra's are poo, also the added bonus no cam belt changes either due to cam chains .

We had a C plate, 1.0 Micra, gutless but totally reliable. Only broke down once and that was 10 mins after being serviced as the points failed, duff part!

It was hit by a van and turned into metal splinters, dont think it would be rated to highly if it were NCAP'd!!!

On another note, fitted my HID's late yesterday and had to go to McD's just to see the improvement!!!

I did 110 in mine, with two other passengers, coming into Aberdeen, when it was about a year old. Good fun, when you're 20!

Loads better mate, just need to bring down the N/S headlight a bit. Also need to tidy up the wiring etc as I wanted to get them fitted before the heavens opened up again yesterday.

I dont think my old Micra could do a ton lol, even with the wind behind me!!

No, it was just the 998cc, 50 bhp.
All that was different in the engine bay was a K&N pan filter on tip of the carb'.

It had the high compression engine and used to destroy everything away from the traffic lights.

Grown up now, I think.

I was steering with only two fingers on the wheel.

My mate in the back was crapping himself, but the one in the front was cheering me on to go faster, but I couldn't if I had wanted too.
