I have a set of Volvo roof bars, Kieran.

Never fitted them to the car, but got them in case I ever get a roof box.

Don't think I would ever consider fitting one to an S-Class, if I ever get round to buying one.

A spring decided to stab the wife in the leg, last week, so the mattresses were sort of forced on me (daughter's one was starting to show spring shapes through the cover, so she got one too).

I had the best night's sleep in a long time, last night.

Pocket coils and a memory foam layer - lovely!!!

Gary

Lol, even comfier than the bed in the Ramada Encore, in Belfast, Kieran.

I am too worried that I would scratch the roof, carrying stuff like that on the bars.

Roof box for holidays/tent, if we ever get the camping urge again.

Used to move wardrobes and the like, in the 740 estate.

THAT was a load lugger!

Gary

Don't your back seats fold down in your S40? They do in mine.

They do fold, but my issue would have been getting a 4' 6" wide mattress through the boot aperture. It just wouldn't go!

Better using a free van, than faffing about, risking damage to the trim etc.

Long Gary lol i will take a pic against the car sometime ,it sits to close to the rear window for my liking Gary when its in the car.ive got a lighter one but its a fairweather pier or promenade use only.it would bend if you pushed it in the sand or wedged up against rocks.
