Looks like i have bought a dog................ARRRGGGGGHHHHHHH
I have just done the compression test.... Cylinders 1,2,3,4 all came up on our just under 4 bar.........Cylinder 5 NOTHING.................As i had feared all along............. Getting quotes at the moment from between £700-£900 to do the work....... I would be happy removing the head myself but would not feel confident putting it back and setting up the timing... |

Hi,
Bad luck. Looks like a burnt valve? From what I have read changing and re-seating the valves require involve checking the valve adjustments and this is done by shims. Not an easy (read cheap!) thing for DIYer to do. Bob
