Default 145/140 front seats

Hi,
I am looking for both front seats for a 1974 145 preferably in wine red vinyl. Or if anyone knows of a kit to reupholster mine, I would be very interested.

Thanks,
Anthony

Tend to convert to 240 seats. Needs clever brackets though.

A couple of years ago I fitted cloth 240 seats into my '68 144 as I found my back has a preference! However, the mountings are very different so I played with retaining some of the 140 seat chassis but grafting some 240 bits and squabs plus backs on in place of the originals. Sorry a bit vague but memory a bit dim and the car isn't here to check.

It meant slotting a few holes a little but otherwise worked OK for me

BUT

the space between the steering wheel and seat is reduced. Fine if you have thin legs but anybody over 12 stone won't get in! Also your sitting height will alter the view through the windscreen slightly, so re-learning your cars width may be necessary! Also fore-and-aft seat adjustment will be restricted a little due these mods, but I can live with that. In case you ask, no I don't bang my head on the cars roof now!
