New V60 D5 SE Lux
Signed yesterday for a 12 plate V60 D5 SE Lux Nav Geartronic. From the test drive I can tell I'm going to have to watch out or my licence will be in jeopardy! It's vibrant copper metallic so a bit different and amongst other things it has the DAB radio. What kind of MPG can I expect? Does anyone have any feedback on how good the DAB reception is?
Thanks Dave

I have never had to top up the oil in my XC70. Is this something I can hope to continue with?

Alright mate I think honest driving (you sound enthusiastic with your right foot) you should expect high 30's maybe 40mpg I know others might say am wrong & salesman will tell you whatever you want to hear but am a realist!! Dab is very good reception can be problematic in some areas & Volvo constantly seem to be changing software for it but on the whole I have found it very good am sure you will love the car just mind the like tyres if your hard with your right foot?! Enjoy!!!

Thanks for that. I'm pretty careful really but it was so much quicker than my current car, it caught me out! I was doing 95 before the end of a slip road before I knew it. I get mid 30s from my 2004 XC70 manual so an improvement on that would be nice

I have found the DAB to be excellent but it is very area dependent. If it is good then it is worth it. I would not want to go back to standard MW now.

Hi I have a manual V60 SE D5 Lux Nav and it returns 45+ mpg on normal everyday driving and close to 50 on a decent run . I would expect the geartronic to be a little worse . I think the auto will be a much more pleasing drive though . The adaptive cruise control helps to smooth out motorway driving quite well .

I have a December 2012 D5 (215 PS) SE Lux.
The lifetime average is just shy of 50mpg, although it's only fair to point out that it spends most of its life doing 70mph on cruise control on the motorway. I'd been expecting somewhere between 35-40mpg on reading these forums, so I'm happy. I've been tracking my long-term ownership on Pistonheads here: http://www.pistonheads.com/members/s...p?carId=194832 |
