480 parts wanted

I need the following parts for a 1993 Volvo 480:

1. Speedo (non info centre version preferably)
2. Relay for pop-up lights.
3. Rear light clusters.

Have been considering just buying a shabby old 480 and removing these bits as they are so hard to find, especially for reasonable money. So just throwing this out there...

Whats wrong with your pop up lights? If your having the same trouble im thinking your having then its a head light pop up motor that you need... lol

If it's just the speedometer you need I believe you can swap one from the info center type instrument panel.

2. Relay for pop-up lights.

Have you checked the ground/earth cable lugs to the bodywork? On my previous 480 the NS lamp had a mind of it's own. It would pop up and down whilst driving along...very funny actually It turned out to be a bad earth eventhough it looked ok.

3. Rear light clusters.

These are as rare as an honest politician. Last time I checked they were close to €200 each from the dealer.

Hi,

I have seen those two 480's for sale in Limerick, but the seller has never replied to my emails. I would be more interested in just getting the few bits I need rather than a whole car but if I found one with a decent set of clusters I could be tempted.

The relay for the pop-up lights is missing so I wont know for certain if the motor needs replacing until I get that first.

The whole instrument pod needs replacing not just the speedo, sorry.

Hi David I think that the none info centre speedos are the same as the 440, 460 cars i.e. none electric. Have a look on the back for the speedo cable with a big white clip. I have two spare instrument clusters sat in the garage that are of no use anymore as my 460 has the electroinc dash. PM me if intrested.
