Some good feedback
Anyone got any good reports about their V50's?
There's ALOT of fault reports but not much good feedback for potential buyers. I bought my 57 reg V50 2.0d SE Sport 6 months ago with 120k on the clock, I've done 15k in 6 months and I've obviously had to spend money on it. £800 on 4 tyres, service, MOT, brakes and road tax. That's it! (although my LED brake light has just gone). I bought a high mileage car and added twice the average mileage onto it and it's given me nothing but joy! It's accelerates as well as my previous brand new golf GT diesel, it's hand brilliantly, rides "smooth" roads really well and the quality of everything is superb! Anyone else happy with there's? |

Had my '06' V50 2.0D Sport (44k on the clock) for almost 3years now and it's simply the best car I've ever had in 22 years of driving. The engine is just superb, it pulls like a train even at low revs and high gear and I'm very impressed with it and would buy another Volvo without any hesitation what so ever.
Yes I've had a couple of pricey things go wrong, ABS module and front wheel bearings, but these were replaced by Volvo FOC so I'm even more impressed with Volvo UK. Last edited by Lee '71; Dec 4th, 2011 at 12:45. |

Had mine for nearly 4 years and done about 26k miles.
had some minor faults - switches, sensors, little things. You have to remember, the S40/V50 has the best chassis in the business, and is a fantastic drivers car especially when you do some modifications. In the Summer I still take mine for a drive on the twisties and it's awesome every time. Stage 3 T5 with about 330lb-ft torque from 2500rpm pulls hard |

I've got a 2005 V50 2.0D,53k, which is the first Volvo I have owned.
It really is a nice solid car and comfy too. After 25yrs of other makes I would buy another Volvo, shame it's taken me so long to get one! Only probs so far are cd changer and alternator but you're going to get issues with other makes. I certainly did with VW, never again. I think folk mainly use a forum for when they have problems and ask for help so I'm guessing that's why there isn't much feedback? |
