Default Correct tyre size

Hello, I have a volvo v40 sport,old girl that is. The tyres on there are 195 60 r15 but when I put my reg any search engine on a tyre site it says I need 205 55 r15. Can anyon
e help

My previous V40 had 15 inch rims and that ran 195. There should be a sticker on the drivers door below the lock with the correct tyre sizes and also in the handbook. SPORT is the trim level, nothing to do with the suspension or handling .

https://alloywheels.com/tyreCalculator shows that your current tyres have a rolling diameter of 615mm, whereas 205x55x15 ends up at 606.5mm. That's less than 2% different and barely noticeable.

So am I right in thinking I could put 205 55 r15 on there with out a problem.

Why not just fit whatever the manufacturer intended as per the sticker on the B post door closure sticker?
