V70 2.5T Intermittent Stalling of Engine
Hi there
I have recently purchased a 2008 V70 2.5T petrol manual and for the first 500 miles, it drove like a dream. Then one morning, it was a bit hesitant to start. A week later I was driving and the engine for a brief moment cut in and out. Roll on 2 weeks later and now most journeys, the engine cuts out. Especially when pulling away. Today, it was ticking over for about 5 mins then died and wouldn't start, until I turned off the ignition and tried again. And then every now and then the engine would cut out again. Other than this, the car is fine and has plenty of power and smoothness. I am hoping it might be something simple like a clogged up fuel filter but have had no luck in finding it on the car and also a topic about the fuel filter location in the forum here. Please can I ask if anyone knows where the fuel filter is, i.e. under the plastic covers undneath the car? And also if anyone else has had these same problems? Kind regards Lawrence |

Those are the typical symptoms of knackered Fuel Pressure Regulator on the left hand side of the fuel rail.

Success!!
Many thanks T5R92011 The car drives amazingly different now. It's responsive and running smoother. Starts better too Can't thank you enough for your advice and links. For anyone else with this problem, here's an excellent step by step video I came across on how to change the part. https://youtu.be/snRA7V-zfU4 |
