Default Powerpulse Operation Query

Hi,

I picked up my new (to me) 2018 V90 D5 R-Design Pro at the weekend. The car has 19K miles on it.

I was out this afternoon and when i got home and switched off i heard a hissing sound coming from the driver side front wheel area. I immediately thought i must have a puncture / nail in a tyre however having stuck my head down to the wheel, it sounded more like it was coming between the wheel arch liner area behind the headlight.

My initial research is leading me to think its the powerpusle pump, or hose, that might be making the noise however i wanted to know if under normal cicumstances whether the system is designed to release pressure after the car is turned off and then repressurise once restarted....or do i have a leak that i need to get the dealer to have a look at?

Thanks
Steve

If it is the powerpulse, eventually it brings the engine management light on. I've had it twice in 6 months, it's had hoses, valves, a compressor, all kinds of things. Hopefully that will be the end of it for a while now. Not a particularly reliable system unfortunately.

Snap, had the Powerpulse pipe replaced in December, goes in this week for the compressor, both faults appeared a few minutes after put the engine management light on minutes after triggering “Adblue dosing service required”.
