Fitted it today, and it was easier than expected. Really good quality piece of kit

Do you tape the adapter to the back of the head unit so that it does not move around and touch other things, or just leave it hanging?

I've got another question. On Amazon, a couple of buyers have written that the sound through this adapter is pretty quiet.

So, those who have installed this adapter — is the sound level that comes from your phone through it noticeably different from the sound level of the radio at the same volume knob position?

No difference in sound levels whatsoever. It works seamlessly.

Hi, just snagged an 07 XC70 D5 to run around in for a while, has the built in 6 disc changer in the dash which miraculously still works! Does this replace that, or add to it via a socket for a boot RTI/CD Multichanger?

Also, with the system up and running does the phone interrupt radio with satnav instructions or does it only stream audio through when the phone is the source?

Cheers!

Installed today and while sound quality and usage so far is excellent the streaming is quite via my phone. I suspect it is down to the Media Volume level i have set on my phone.

Sounds like I have the same 6 disc setup as you - did you ever install the Bluetooth unit and if so can you answer your own questions? Cheers.

Sorry Cloudbreak, never got around to it yet. Although I'm 99.99% certain that the phone will only be audible when the correct CD Changer (i.e. bluetooth adapter) is selected on the headset. So no maps directions while listening to FM radio for instance. But then for the cost, that was expecting a lot I guess!

Ah no worries - thanks for replying, much appreciated.

Can anyone else help with how it installs into a HU850 with the integrated 6 disc changer and how you set it to Bluetooth input once installed. Just need to know it won’t replace the CD changer as my kids still use it! TIA.
