Default No response from my V90 Cross country

I had to call out Volvo assist ( via Volvo app) this morning. If I may explain. I was visiting a friend locally and parked outside their home. During the visit I heard my car alarm go off ( although there were no flashing lights) . I went outside and tried to stop the alarm using the remote key fob, sadly, nothing happened, the alarm stopped and started at least 6 to 7 times before stopping altogether and there was no response from the car, either by using the key fob, hands free or by using the Volvo app.

I called Volvo assist and they dispatched an engineer, on arrival the engineer used the mechanical key from the fob to enter the car via the passenger door, once inside he tested various things including the car main battery and key fob, both tested normal. He then entered the boot via the rear seats to excess the battery in the boot area. He considered the battery needed to be reset and therefore disconnected the battery leads, on reconnection everything came to life and appears now to be working ok (although I have a warning now saying the rear child locks are disabled)

The engineer advised me it could happen again without warning and I should therefore contact my Volvo dealer ASAP and ask for the car to be diagnostically checked for any electrical faults and upgrade necessary.

Have any members here experienced a similar occurrence. Thanks Roy
