Default Refurbing my calipers

Eventually got riound to getting my calipers refurbed at Bigg Red !

I'd faffed about for long enough with another spare set I had which I ended up shearing the bleed valve off so bit the bullet and got them done right

Should cure my ever so slightly sticking rear offside caliper

Hi David

That is the premium gun metal grey finish https://www.biggred.co.uk/remanufacture

They were £170 for the pair as it was all new parts

We had our Haggis last night ! Hope you enjoy

Hi Mark,

Very impressive, almost too nice to put back on in this crappy weather.

My pair of front calipers I sourced from Luke to refurbish when building up replacement front struts etc. has stalled rather, not too keen to get out in the freezing garage at the moment.

Electrolysis cleaning off the rust worked really well, just need to get back into it.

Your piccies hopefully will get me back into the garage😀

Cheers
Steve

My garage is integral so not freezing but still a tad chilly !

I will wait to warmer weather as going to do new lines with discs and pads

Glad to see you got it done right.

All too often I see threads with I rebuilt my calipers with a seal kit and left the rusty old pistons in...

I tried that on my P80 V70. Needless to say one of them is still sticking ( I did clean the piston ) so a bit of a waste of time

You should have said Mark, I could have dropped a pair off for you and got discount. The one guy who works there owns a Volvo 343 on minilites and lowered, he likes my 940 so gives me a decent discount!
