Heater stuck on hot
The heater in my Amazon is stuck on hot, it hasn’t been a problem over winter but as these heaters are so good it will be terrible in summer. The lever and cable are working fine. Any tips. ?

Check that the cable inner is in fact pulling the lever back and forth on the heater valve. Having said that, the valves can seize in any position and the rubber diaphragm can fail. Repair is sometimes possible. If you want to go to no heat at all you can bypass the valve with a short loop of hose under the bonnet.

Stot;
I'm with Derek...I'd also recommend checking if Bowden cable action at the control is truly moving the lever at Heater Control Valve, and they can typically use some lubrication (a spray-on grease will last much longer than a spray-on light oil) but and immediate solution to keep from cooking, is to squeeze shut the hose to or from the Heater Core at any handy location with a pair of locking pliers stopping Coolant flow in the heater loop... Lever on control box is working fine. Good tip about clamping pipe.
