Software Update 1.9

I see 1.9 is now OTA with a 'Revised engine control system'
so not too sure specifically what that brings.

Thanks for the heads up.

I really do hope that this update fixes a lot more than just a poxy ‘Revised engine control system’ update.

I know but I don't think it does! Could be a positive update in terms of stability though, my Volvo app loads a little faster and who knows it might be paving the way for something bigger in 2.0 !!

Seems Polestar, as in the other car closely related to Volvo, have stated that AAOS 11 (Volvo and Polestar cars currently run AAOS 10) is coming first quarter 2022 as posted in the Polestar forum which is likely an indication for Volvo too.

Yes but probably unlikely to jump from 10 to 12. I think Android Automotive system likely to be behind in that way. Intel Atom chip in Volvos seems to be fine even with newer added chip hardware coming to newer cars.
