Fuel injector cleaner

Could anyone advise on the use of injector cleaning fuel additives.
Do they have any adverse effects on the catalyst. Which additives to use etc. Car is a 1993 940 GLE Turbo. 170K on the clock.

oxygen sensor and catalytic converter safe must be written on those bottles...

Hi,
Using fuel injector cleaner with the last tank of fuel before each oil change is good practise.
