Shame, but looking on the bright side, another one gone increases the rarity value of mine.

qscgyjl: I did consider moth balling the car, I have the room but it would need to be for 10 years or more. Then there really would be few cars about for parts. I would have to buy the parts now, sling em in the back and let them sit. Shell out about 750€ for a job in the long term future...er no.

Mine has been sat nearly 11 years, had it from 15 months old. Cleaned up well, dry inside with no mould and everything works unlike the year newer POS Ford Galaxy that had every electrical item working when parked AFTER the Volvo and now has an endless list of electrical problems along with the seized fuel pump from stale fuel. Shame as it has a mega expensive lowered floor conversion for a wheelchair.

On the plus side, two new button cells and both the T4 remotes now work but the plastic key fob cases are falling apart! I might even give the car a good coat of looking at over the weekend.

Fitted two cheap Ebay remote key fobs and a new pair of Fiamm two tone horns will go on this weekend. I extracted the radio code from the HU-605 head unit this morning and that now works.

Thread revival!

Fitted 2 front discs and new pads. Replaced with ones from Frf
The ones on there were juratek and we’re juddering worn and didn’t really feel they stopped the car as brakes should…..if that makes sense!?
Took it out this afternoon to bed in the brakes, so after the next 250 miles, we’ll see.

And replaced the rear droplinks as they were out of shape and in poor condition.

Also fixed the windscreen washer issue, nozzles we’re blocked with crud.

Put in fog lights I found in a junk yard. Can’t find the relay location though, I know I need it. Anyone have any info on where it would be? Oh and I need to have the CEM flashed to tell it that it has fog lights… that should be fun.

Was looking around for some parts and found these nice looking side markers https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...d=E9IJmanq1cx2

Has OEM fitting but with new dynamic style, might order some. Anyone seen these before?

Did some maintenance today on my V40 2.0T.

Did an oil change, replaced oil filter etc.
Replaced fuel filter & cabin filter as well.
Did a wheel alignment but my steering wheel is not center anymore, it pulls to the right when I drive..
